Installation Instructions for PST-61 AC motors Rotator accessory plate
Please read these instructions carefully before attempting to install this accessory
plate. The rotator will only mount to the plate correctly in one position. This will
take you through the necessary steps to correctly install this plate.

Look at the plate carefully and notice the notch on one edge of the plate. This will
be important because it is crucial that the plate sits in the tower correctly. The plate
will mount with the tabs facing up and the rotator motor will protrude from the tower
towards the notched side of the plate.
Now you must decide what bay of the tower that the rotator is to be mounted in and which
side you want the motor to protrude from. Once you decide on both of these aspects it is
now time to start the install.
Slip
the accessory plate in by turning it at an angle. Using a rubber mallet move the plate
so it sits level in the tower. Now make sure that the tabs are facing up and that the
notch is facing the side where you want the motor to protrude from.
Rotate the motor of the PST61 90 degrees clockwise by unbolting 4 bolts on the worm gear
assembly and turning the motor. You do not have to remove the motor to turn it. Just
slide it 90 degrees and slip in the bolts.
To
get the rotator into place you will have to slide the plate down and slip the rotator
into the tower. Then slide the plate up into position. The height that the plate sits in
the bay is crucial, otherwise the rotator will not sit properly on the plate and will
rub on the cross bracing.
Bolt the rotator on to the plate and u-bolt the plate in place.

Decide which bay of the tower that the rotator is to be mounted in and which side you
want the motor to protrude from. Once you decide on both of these aspects it is now time
to remove a piece of the cross bracing.

You will need one of the following tools to remove one diagonal of the cross bracing.
A hacksaw, or sawzall. A hacksaw will easily cut the steel rod. Make the cuts as
shown by the arrows in the figure to the right. Now you are ready to put the plate in
the tower.
Slip the accessory plate in by turning it at an angle. Using a rubber mallet move the
plate so it sits level in the tower. Now make sure that the tabs are facing up and that
the notch is facing the side where you just removed the diagonal cross brace. This is
the side that the motor will protrude from.
To get the rotator into place you will have to slide the plate down and slip the
rotator into the tower. Then slide the plate up into position.
The height that the plate sits in the bay is crucial, otherwise the rotator will not
sit properly on the plate and the "bolt-on" replacement cross brace will not fit
correctly.
Finally it is time to bolt the rotator onto the plate and u-bolt the plate and
cross brace in place.
