This 180 degree wideband phase shifting device is used to flip an antenna or
several antennas 180 degrees out of phase in relation to an array of antennas
or vertical stack of antennas. This is useful in producing high take off angles
to match the propagation angles of a desired HF path.
The Array Solutions Phase Shifter consists of a 5"x5"x2"
weather proof box, input and output connectors, and a rubber grommet to pass
the DC control cable. Inside is
a two terminal control used to change the phase from 0 to 180 degrees out of
phase. Just apply 12VDC at ~100 ma. It uses wideband RF transformer
technology and has a measured loss of less then .01 dB at 30 MHz. The phase lag
in the box is equivalent to 57 inches of coax with a velocity factor of .66. It
is the same for the in phase and out of phase path.
The standard product uses SO239 connectors (Optional Type N
shown above) and is rated for 5 KW
continuous RF duty. Higher power is available upon request. The
components used may vary from those shown above.
Use it with the StackMaster, and StackMatch products. It may be added
to existing installations at any time.
The wideband phase shifter is not suitable for use on 6m. For
6m, a standard coaxial delay line phase shifter is recommended.
