The Array Solutions AS-611/HP 11
meter Antenna is a 6-element monoband Yagi on a 40 foot boom. The
AS-611/HP is rated for 120 mph and >10 KW. Also the AS-611/HP
is designed with large diameter elements and solid tips for corona
suppression.
The AS-611/HP is a slightly different
design than most Yagis, as the feed point is a direct feed design for 50
ohms without the use of any matching devices such as gamma, or
hairpins which can be sources of failures. There is a reflector, a driver
and four (4) director elements. The AS-611 is based on the OWA
techniques to achieve several goals. The advantages of the design are the
simple feed system (no match) and extremely wide band VSWR operation where
the gain and pattern vary a minimal amount. Using large elements, corona
control and special insulators this antenna is capable of handling huge
power levels.

The VSWR curve for the AS-611/HP allows
full coverage. The VSWR does not exceed 1.2:1 anywhere in the band. Gain,
and Front to Back ratio also remain constant over the entire frequency range
of the antenna on the 11m band due to the unique design.
